The Richard T. Parker Center for Advanced Study and Research at Running Creek Field Station is a 640-acre parcel of land located approximately 35 miles southwest of Denver, Colorado and about 30 miles northeast of Colorado Springs.
The property had been used for grazing cattle and dry land wheat production until 1971 when the Wright-Ingraham Institute of Colorado Springs purchased it and established Running Creek Field Station. The property has been used for educational programs, observation and research since then. The Institute is a non-profit educational institution established to promote, direct, encourage and develop opportunities contributing to the conservation, preservation and use of human and natural resources.
